I just bought the aquarium cradle swing.I think this swing is in a class by it's self this swing has everything that you could want in a swing. it reclines in two different positions,It swings side to side or front to back, it has storage and if that's not enough it has a mobile that has a water globe that lights up and brightly colored fish that move in a circle above babies head. this is the best swing on the market. I give fisher price two thumbs up. fisher price truley knows.

After the baby was born, I had an opportunity to change out duplicate products from the registry and came across the Ocean Wonders Aquarium swing in the store -- in fact, a couple was complaining that it was too loud. I took a closer look and recognized that the actual shush-shing sound it gave off when the swing moved mimicked the sound a fetal infant hears in the womb (similar to what the book Dr. Harvey Karp's "Happiest Baby on the Block" described when calming an infant) which in the first few weeks of a baby's life is actually quite comforting. I took the swing home immediately to try it out on my daughter, who at that time was about 6-7 weeks old. Because the seat was inclined and she was moderately on the healthier but heavier side, my pediatrician approved her being placed in the swing. Wow! !! My husband thanked me, I thanked Fisher Price -- what a huge save, our daughter loved it. It worked like a charm.
Unlike standard swing sets that move back and forth with a few speed changes, Fisher price's version has 2 very nice options of the swing back and forth motion and also a cradle side-to side option. Which prevented our daughter from getting bored. In addition, the moving mobile with soft cushy toys and bright light interested her when her awareness and mobile skills kicked in. She loves watching the fish move. Sound is another thing, the options of ocean waves, streams, rain, lullabies is great and the reset button for the mobile comes in handy. Batteries don't run out quickly -- we don't go through a lot but then again if you have your kid in there most the day, well then its bound to happen. Overall, this swing is excellent, it heightens our baby's awareness, comforts her with a swishing sound that is similar to the sounds she heard in the womb, has bright lights, option to cradle and swing, is very colorful, pleasing to the eyes, wonderful sound options of the ocean and music. Come on, get real, babies get bored just swinging back and forth with no option to sleep in their swing -- this swing does it all, they can entertain themselves to sleep, and the best part is, you're hands free and you and your significant one can actually relax and make a sigh of relief. Our baby is now almost 4 months and still loves the swing, no regrets here. Buy the swing for the baby, not because it matches the playard and high chair set, but because its comforting and stimulating for the baby. I heard couples in the store registering for a swing to match the other products they registered for and I thought, they just don't know what they're missing...

We had originally received the previous model cradle swing as a baby shower gift, but returned it and purchased the Aquarium swing after seeing it in a magazine. This swing is incredible - by far the best on the market. It can swing either side to side or front to back. It has a variety of sounds: waves, rain, babbling brook, and soothing music that doesn't remind you of the Disneyland Electrical Parade. It also has a moving mobile and a lighted dome that you won't fully appreciate until your child won't go to sleep at 2AM and you turn the swing on in a darkened room. My only complaints are: The music, mobile and lighted dome turn off after 7 minutes - they definitely need to extend the time or create a remote control you can use from across the room. The music will sometimes turn off as my daughter is just falling asleep and when she sees me she starts to cry. Also, the previous cradle swing used to turn towards the left as well as the right for side to side swinging. Where we had previously placed her swing, it was better for the swing to turn towards the left from center for side to side swinging, but now it only turns towards the right. However, compared to the other swings on the market, this is the best.
