Average Rating: Rating: - Wonderful! I didn't want to buy an expensive highchair the kid will outgrow soon, so we bought this after a friend recommended it. I love it. We used the recline position a couple times when our son was really little so he could be at the table with us. He's been using it for his meals since he was 4 months old. We never used the middle recline but it's there if you want it. You aren't supposed to feed a baby solids when he's reclined anyways for safety reasons. The seat comes off for easy cleaning (dishwasher!) and the tray also cleans easily (also dishwasher!). No seat will fit every chair, so make sure the base fits your chair before you assemble it. The directions say to do this because the back won't come off once it's on. (sturdy construction). Buy something else if you want a more portable seat. Rating: - Didn't buy a high chair We received this chair as a gift and so far, we haven't had the slightest urge to buy a high chair. Our son weighs 20 pounds and we haven't needed to set the seat portion to it's lower position. When he was about 3 months we started using it as a place where he could sit (in the fully reclined position) and be at the table during dinner time with the rest of the family. He now (8 mths) loves it and doesn't fuss when I latch him in (unlike his car seat and swing, etc) because he loves to have the tray in front of him - and he also loves to eat. As I said, we've not had the need for a high chair, and really don't envision the need soon. So we'll stick with this as long as we can. We stick the tray in the dishwasher and wipe the seat down when we he gets out. We love that it straps to the real chair for safety. Rating: - Not as wonderful as it looks My sister-in-law has this for our nephew. She brings it when they visit, and it looked great (of course she never had to put it together or adjust the reclining here)....until I tried to put mine together. I registered for this and was so happy to receive it but majorly disappointed when putting it together and trying to recline the seat. I can't get the seat bottom to stay in the top position for infants. The seat is very hard to recline...in fact I never was able to do it before getting so frustrated that I gave up! I planned on taking this to grandma's, but I think I will be returning it instead. I can find a basic high chair for the same price for grandma's house since we have an awesome one for home. This item looks real cool on the box...seems like a great idea...but it just doesn't work that well. I also agree that it would be uncomfortable for a young baby...it is VERY hard. They should make the pad plastic for easy clean up, but that is the least of the problems here. I would recommend a high chair instead of this booster.
