Average Rating: Rating: - The one product I couldn't do without.... This is the greatest thing for breastfeeding moms. I was discouraged in the hospital when "learning" to breastfeed. The nurse surrounded me with pillows and it was still hard to get the baby at the right level without really tiring out my arm. Getting "set-up" this way was so time consuming, especially with a hungry baby. The Boppy fits around your waist and holds the baby at the exact right height. In fact, you don't necessarily even need to hold onto the baby (although I do). At 2 months, he quiets down immediately when I lay him on it in my lap because he associates it with eating. It's even convenient when giving him a bottle because it supports the baby instead of your arm. I also use it to prop him up both on his back and stomach (which he likes). And, I've used it myself as support for my lower back and for lounging on the floor watching TV. I can't say enough about it. It's the best purchase we made. Rating: - Don't dare wash it!! I just had my first baby, boy, a week ago today. I am breast feeding my son and it has been quite a challenge and learning experience for the both of us. I couldn't wait to get home from the hospital and use the Boppy I received from my baby shower. I have worked for a daycare center for several years and new all about Boppies. Today my son's diaper leaked onto the Boppy so I threw it in the washer machine. I read the directions to make sure I was able to put this product in the washer. I took it out of the washer and it was split in half and the stuffing was everywhere. I was very upset. I paid the price when I had to do my feedings the rest of the day without the Boppy. My son was very upset and uncomfortable using the regular pillow. I read the directions and did exactly what they said. I have had this product for two weeks and got exactly 6 days of use out of your product. I am very disappointed. Even though my son loves to breast feed on this pillow, I am very hesitant to purchase a new one.Cheaply made. New mom, Stamford, CT Rating: - Hooray for Boppy:-) This pillow is a God-send. It provides superior comfort and I never have to worry about sore arms or wrists. The Boppy is so comfortable that after he is finished nursing, my son falls asleep on it. It's also great as a neck pillow for sitting up in bed. My husband uses it for his back when he sits in the rocking chair holding our son; it provides great support in that respect as well. I also love to prop my son on it and take pictures; it seems to provide a whole new world of discovery for him. It's excellent for 'tummy time'. I highly recommend this pillow for everyone who has an infant for the simple fact that it provides firm support and comfort when holding baby.
