i shopped long and hard on amazon for a high chair for my 5 month old daughter. we have the graco french bear travel system and pack and play, which i love. i was tempted to get the french bear neat seat, but the fabric seat was a turn off...i already do enough laundry. the safety first stages chair got great reviews. checked it out at the local toys r us. very cheap looking and impossible to adjust the recline and height without reading the manual. the fisher price chair was also in stock and caught my eye, the vinyl seat pattern is very elegant, and matches the french bear pattern very well. but most importantly this is very easy to use, and my baby girl was all smiles when i sat her in it. READ THIS: i know other reviewers think the shoulder/belt harness is overkill, but what i learned when i got the chair home: when you remove the tray, your baby could easily bend forward without the shoulder straps and topple out. another important safety feature is the divider bar thing between the legs-it is built into the chair, not the tray, so it does not remove, protecting baby from falls. it was easy to put together, washed up great in the laundry machine, and the double trays are a stroke of genius. also came with a box of bibsters...disposable bibs which are so convenient. i was prepared to pay for the chico mamma or equivelant, but am completely satisfied with this great chair. you won't be disappointed.

I LOVE this highchair. I was hesitant about it after reading some reviews until I went to the store and checked it out. Fisher Price has obviously listened to customer complaints because they have fixed some of the things that people thought was wrong. For instance, the pad no longer has that pesky cloth ruffle around it, the tray insert now locks on better than the old one, and (this is my favorite improvement) the chair now comes with THREE tray inserts so there's one for each meal!I got it when my son was 6 weeks old and he sat in it every night while we ate dinner as well as while I was preparing it. It reclined far enough for him to be comfortable, and it comes with an infant head rest now as well. The fact that the pad is vinyl is a no brainer. I don't know WHAT all those manufacturers were thinking when they made HIGH CHAIR seats cloth. What mom has time to was a cloth high chair pad all the time in the washer? This seat is better than those twice its price.

I shopped on-line and in stores for high chairs and read almost every review available. I decided on this one mostly because of the positive reviews I read. Decided to check it out at the store and was happy with the quality and price of it. It's easy to assemble (did it without my husband's help) and clean. The dishwasher safe tray is the best!!! Although, the straps are hard to clean especially if you have a spitty baby. My son started using it when he was 4 1/2 months old and starting to eat solid food. He's now 6 months old and he enjoys it during and after mealtimes. Some moms have complained about wishing for it to have wheels. I have laminate floor in my kitchen and it's been no problem wheeling it around. I do feel safer knowing that it didn't have wheels. Before buying it, I was leaning towards the Peg Perego chair but decided against it because of the reviews and price.
