My husband and I bought this seat when our son outgrew the height limit in his infant carrier at 6 months. He is now 15 months. I agree with a lot of the reviews regarding rear facing. It was a pain to adjust the straps due to the release button butting up against the seat back. I drive an explorer, and the back seat is at an angle. Even in the fully reclined position, his head flopped forward when he slept. I used a pool noodle to solve that one. When my husband drove my car, he had to keep the seat moved forward a little so it wouldn't butt up against the car seat. Once we turned it around, all was good. It is high up and my son loves to look out the window. It is very roomy and comfortable for him...i can only assume since there has been no complaints. The straps do twist. So what! Untwist them. I untwist my own seat belt all the time. I have had no problems with the buckles...pretty self explanatory. I don't like that I can't put the seat in the center. I'll live. I couldn't put it in the center if he had a sibling anyway. Overall, I am happy with this seat. I don't recomend it for rear facing though; hence, 4 stars

If you do not want to spend [the money] on the Britax this is the car seat to get! Why do I give it 5 stars? Because...1. It fits in the middle of my 2003 Corolla S with both seats all the way back 2. You do not have to take out and put the straps back into the new slots...you pull in the metal bar and adjust the shoulder strap slots to the proper position (5 in all) 3. It has 2 recline positions!!! 4. Its VERY easy to install...even comes with a video 5. The LATCH system is great! Don't have to fuss with the seatbelt. 6. The fabric comes off easily and washed up great! 7. It has a removable head rest and head support system 8. It can convert to a booster seat (up to 80lbs) so you wont have to spend more money on a booster 9. My straps have yet to get tangled. (if you are careful with them they dont get tangled) 10. Its easy to adjust rear facing! 11. The padding is soft and comfy! All in all this car seat is great!!!! I first bought the Graco Comfy Sport....ugh bad choice! My daughter never got comfy in it! It was too upright for her! (4 months)...the padding was hard and it was a pain to adjust the straps rear facing.
Rating: - Dont buy it!
I bought the Cosco Alpha Omega Car Seat because of its versatility. I was impressed with a car seat that could be used from birth to 80 lbs!! However, this seat is not adequate for infants. It is just way too big. Think about it...how can a growing child fit in the same seat and be safe for the next 8 years?? Anyway, we started to really use the seat when my son was 22 lbs. The seat was very difficult to position in the car (I don't have a latch system in my car) and the adjustment strap was very difficult to acess/pull when rear facing. But worst of all, the straps are always twisted, no matter how many times I fix them. And when the straps are twisted, that is unsafe for your child. So spend the extra cash and realize you will have to buy 2 or even 3 car seats for your child to keep them safe and prevent you from fighting with the seat everyday.
