Rating: - Good for cloth seats only!
I bought this mat for my car with leather seats and it made the car seat slide around, no matter how tight I made the seatbelt. If you have leather seats, do not use this mat. Use a thick, rubber mat instead. Not only will this keep your car seat in place, it will protect your leather from indentations from the weight of the car seat. I actually use both now, I put the rubber mat on the seat and then I put this cloth one on top because it has handy pockets.
Rating:  - Works great!
We've used this for our first car seat and it works great to protect the leather seats and the pockets are helpful to put snack and water in so that they don't spill all over the car. Now we are getting ready to purchase another for our second car seat.
Rating:  - Slides too much
I like the pockets in the front, but the undermat slides too much. I bought a rubber mat instead, although it lacked the pockets.
