Rating: - This is the last stroller I will ever need to buy
Having a newborn on January 3rd, I had been looking for strollers for over 6 months and I had purchased two and returned them both. One was the Plikomatic and the Metrolite. Let's just say that you pay alot for the Peg and you get just about the same with the Metrolite. Yes the quality is better, but not knock your socks off better. There are so many claims and guarantees that it is really quite difficult to decifer sometimes so let me try and help.My main concerns are ease of use, features, stability, dependability and price. I go online to all of the baby rating websites and you would swear that they are advertisements for some manufacturers, not true RATINGS of the items. So I am offering my unbiased, unpaid opinion. The ease of use of this stroller is not matched, even by the high end strollers. It folds easily with one hand, keeps the wheels on the ground so that you don't get the fabric dirty and folds nicely. As for features, previous models of Graco had problems such as not getting to the basket when the car seat was in it, wheels sticking, etc. This stroller addressed all those complaints and then some. The basket is a cinch to get to even if the seat is all the way down, the seat lies flat or has three other positions and it does not use the cord in the back to adjust the seat, it is a bar that is much more stable. It has ample space to store things and is VERY easy to assemble. Some people are going to claim that it is heavy, and it is heavier than the Metrolite, but when you see this and test it the ONE thing that comes to mind is safety. It is sturdy and I am more than willing to sacrifice some weight for safety. I also like the way you can lock the carseat in so that for someone to take the seat with the baby in it, they would have to take the whole stroller and truthfully why bother. The other nice feature is the fold up foot rest that makes it almost like a bassinet. As for all the people that complain about squeaky tires and other things, just like a car you need to maintain, and by that I mean SIMPLE maintenance, this or any other stroller. Most people walk on dirty or sandy roads or boardwalks, You would be amazed at what a little WD40 will do for anything that squeaks. Bottom line, buy this and try it, I promise you will love it. And by the way, you can buy the stroller and car seat separate in the Heatwave pattern that is great for girls, mine loves it.
Rating: - Good but Bulky.
I had the same problem with the base. If you use the latch system it does not move around. Also you need to put all of your weight on the base & tighten up the staps. I promise you, you will love using the base. I hate having to go out in the rain & buckle up the seat in. When I use the base in the car you just stap it in & go.
Rating: - We are very happy with this travel system!!
My husband and I purchased this travel system (in the black and light blue pattern-Heatwave). We love the sturdiness, the high safety ratings and how easy it is to use and close. I have recieved many compliments about the nice Heatwave pattern. There is plenty of room in the basket and the cupholders and two compartments are perfect for my drinks and keys. We are also impressed with how easy it is to "drive". Others have commented that it is heavy but anything lighter would probably not hold up well or be all that safe. Overall, we are very happy with this purchase!
