Average Rating: Rating: - Pretty worthwhile.... We have been happy with this monitor. I love the fact that it has 2 receivers (we keep one in the living room & one in the kitchen). The other thing that I also love is that the receivers can be battery powered - but keep in mind that it will use the batteries up very quickly. It would be nice if the transmitter could be more mobile, so perhaps the manufacturers would consider that for a future model. The major concern with monitors is, of course, interference. We had received another monitor for a shower & it did interfere with our phones, but this one doesn't. Every once in a while, we will pick up someone else's phone conversation though - it only happens when the transmitter is off & the receiver is on. Like others have said in their reviews, there is some static - especially when the volume is high - but I personally feel it is tolerable. Rating: - good monitor I recieved this monitor as a gift. It does a great job of picking up my sons slightest noises. The two different channels avoids picking up the neighbors home (I did get to hear their entire bedtime ordeal when I was on a different channel, so I now make sure I turn mine off when not in use just in case someone is listening in). When using the recievers with the battery in it I don't feel the reception was as good as with the plug. I do have to say that I probably don't really need the monitor at all though. We live in a 2 story house with the bedrooms upstairs, I was concerned that I wouldn't hear my son. That is hardly the case. When he is ready to get up I know it. Even in the night time, it is best not to hear all the sounds he makes in his sleep so that we can get a better nights sleep. Maybe when the weather gets nice and I'm outside more I'll use the monitor a lot more often. Rating: - So Clear You Can Hear EVERYTHING This monitor works perfectly. I live in a basement apartment and thought I would never find a monitor that worked properly. My cordless phone doesn't even work well. All my conversations get cut off and sometimes you won't even hear it ring. So I thought a baby monitor would be pointless. I was very wrong. This works wherever I put it, in any room and when I carry it around. I'ts even worked outside in the backyard and on my porch. I've never experienced static or interference. I love the light up feature. When I'm in the shower I place a monitor on my sink ledge and only have to peek out of the curtain to see how much noise is being made in the baby's room. It even picks up the noise my cat makes when he's scratching at the door in there. I've used it for 5 months now and still haven't changed the batteries. It is really worth the price as it is one of the better monitors out there.
